Back in June, we had the pleasure of meeting Emilie - wife, mum and creator of the wonderful Stella and The Stars interiors blog. At the time, she was in the midst of a crazy life-changing adventure: a family move from London to Dubai.

Emilie had a new place to furnish in a very short space of time. She was keen to start with Stella's room, to create a space for her little girl to call her own in her brand new home in the desert. 

Having done plenty of research, Emilie had decided upon a house bed - a play den by day, and a cosy place to sleep at night. Unfortunately due to high shipping costs we were unable to ship our very own house bed to her in Dubai, but luckily Emilie was able to source one locally, and this became the focal point for the room. After that, it was all about the accessories.

Painting the walls a calm, soothing shade of grey meant that the bright accessories could really sing, especially that gorgeous neon pink...

Emilie chose our Noe and Zoe reversible cloud cushion and storage bag (pictured above), which added a pop of fun, bright colour, with our beautiful Odette felt swan head, Sleepy Dolly Star cushion and gold toadstool lamp for that added touch of prettiness.

No room is complete without a reading nook, and this little corner does the job just perfectly. These Ikea shelves are ideal for displaying all their favourite books (and let's face it, there are so many beautiful books out there these days that why shouldn't the covers become part of the room decor?). We have blogged about this amazing Rowen and Wren sheep shelf before, and doesn't he look right at home here in Stella's room!  

The teddies are clearly enjoying relaxing in our toy tent! And can you spot our Little Roar dinosaur head...?

So much fun in one beautiful space! A big thank you to Emilie for allowing us to share your pics of our little treasures in their new home across the other side of the globe, and of course, a special thank you to Stella for looking after them.
