We couldn't let today slip us by without sharing this AMAZING shared bedroom space we discovered earlier this week!
Created at home for her two boys Felix and Charlie by the super talented Hélène (founder of the lovely Studio Des Jolis Momes brand), this room has plenty of space for playing and sleeping... And literally bursting with colour - exactly as we like it.
Both Felix and Charlie have their very own 'corner', each with its unique identity (Felix's is pictured above, Charlie's below). As you can see, even the beds are totally different! However using accessories, Hélène has successfully created a space that is both stunning and co-ordinated (not to mention brilliantly organised) - the beautiful rainbow blanket on Felix's bed was hand crocheted by her grandmother and matches the rainbow cushion on Charlie's bed; likewise, the mint initial 'C' (sourced in a flea market!) and polar bear wall decoration in Charlie's area matches the mint bedding and wall stars across the other side of the room.
In other words, although eclectic, bright and multi-coloured, the colour scheme has been carefully considered with the result of bringing the room together perfectly as a whole.
With toy storage aplenty, there is still lots of space for playing on that gorgeous monochrome rug in the middle of the room!
Without a doubt, one of our favourite examples of shared bedrooms. Practically organised, carefully considered, beautifully decorated and with all that stunning colour and all those amazing toys SO much fun for the kids!
