Children's lighting can be tricky. It's often quite difficult to find lampshades that are non-themed and fun without being too young-looking or plain. Well... we finally called off the search when we discovered these fabulous fabric shades from Hunkydory Home.

Each one is designed using one-off, limited edition fabrics sourced from all over the globe, and hand-assembled in Northumberland, so you are pretty much guaranteed to have something unique and special. Measuring 30cm (diameter) x 20cm (height), they are suitable for use either as a ceiling pendant shade or to fit on a lamp base, and work with both UK and continental light fittings.

We must admit, we had a hard time choosing between them, but some of our favourites include those pictured above: London Taxi, £35 - black and white with flashes of yellow and bright red and Ladybird, £36 - made using fabric all the way from Japan.
