Allow us to introduce you to Littlephant, a rather gorgeous new brand all the way from Sweden. We first discovered it whilst on the hunt for a new changing bag (have a look, they're beautiful) - and when we met creator and designer Camilla Lundsten at an exhibition in London, she showed us the rest of her wonderful product range, including a stunning limited edition pram cover which she designed in collaboration with stroller brand Kronen, and of course, the wall art we are featuring in today's post. What we love most about Littlephant is its playful and stylish, slightly retro Scandinavian feel. In fact Camilla was inspired by story books and comics from her very own childhood in Sweden, together with a love for pattern and colour palettes from the 50s. As a result, every pattern on every product is alive with colour and quirky illustrations to make both adults AND children smile. Take the 'Littletown' print (above) for example. Featuring many of Littlephant's classic animal characters including elephants, sausage dogs and monkeys, the print tells a story of a fun, imaginary town of brightly coloured candy, circus tents and hideaway towers adorned with simple, bold and striking pattern and stunning contrasting colours (we're loving the use of black and white...) Kids will adore looking at every detail. They'll relate to the characters; they'll relate to the simple patterns and illustrations - and they'll certainly relate to the colour! And the best bit? It will look just as at home above your sofa as it would in your child's bedroom. It's a print for the whole family to enjoy. The prints themselves cost £20 (50x70cm size) or £16.99 for the 'Music' print in the image above, which is 30x40cm. It goes without saying that they are printed on to high quality, 270gsm white paper (using only environmentally-friendly production methods and materials), and packaged in a lovely, gift-able cardboard tube.
